Questions and answers
Can everything be done in one trip?
It depends on the plan. Tooth decay treatment, professional cleaning, extractions and even fitting braces can be done in a single visit. Implants are different: the implant needs time to integrate before the crown goes on, so you will need at least two trips. The exact schedule is drawn up after an X-ray.
Braces or aligners?
Aligners are discreet and removable, but they cost more than metal braces and do not suit every case. Complex bite problems are still corrected more reliably with braces. The orthodontist makes the choice after diagnostics, not from a catalogue.
Is there a difference between Straumann, Neodent and Megagen implants?
Yes — in price and in clinical track record. Straumann is a Swiss system with the longest body of clinical evidence; Neodent and Megagen cost less but also have many years of clinical use behind them. The surgeon chooses the system based on the condition of the bone and the treatment goal.
What if I’m afraid of the dentist?
That is what sedation is for — the clinic lists it as separate services. It is not general anaesthesia: you do not feel the procedure, yet you are able to walk out of the clinic afterwards. Mention your fear right away at the consultation.
