Haematology in Ukraine

Most people come to this section for one reason: to talk to a haematologist and understand their blood test results. That is why it makes sense to start with an online consultation, and only then discuss treatment for anaemia or leukaemia, or plasmapheresis. Below you will find the five services in this section, the clinic’s published prices and answers to common questions.

Patients rarely search for the name of a procedure — they search for what bothers them every day. Choose the option closest to your situation.

What determines the method and the price

What affects the scope of treatment and the cost
What your tests show — Haematology starts not with a procedure but with interpreting your blood counts. What has been found determines both the direction — from correcting anaemia to leukaemia treatment programmes — and how many stages your care will involve.
What the consultation includes — A standard consultation with the doctor and a consultation with a review of test results are priced separately. An online haematologist consultation costs from USD 18; a consultation with a review of test results from USD 24.
Format: online or in person — The consultation can be held remotely, wherever you are. Procedures and inpatient stages of treatment take place in person, so they are planned with your journey and length of stay in mind.
Programme length — The length of anaemia and leukaemia treatment depends on the type of disease and its stage, with blood counts monitored during therapy, while the length of plasmapheresis depends on the method and volume of the procedure. This also affects accommodation costs if you are travelling from abroad.

Questions and answers

How much does a haematologist consultation cost?
An online haematologist consultation costs from USD 18, and a consultation with a review of test results from USD 24. These are the partner clinic’s published prices for this section. As the consultation is remote, the cost doesn’t depend on where you are contacting us from.
Can I consult a haematologist online, without a visit?
Yes, the consultation is held remotely. During the consultation, the doctor will usually review your test results, explain the values and tell you whether further tests are needed. An in-person visit is planned separately if procedures or treatment are required.
Which documents and test results should I prepare for the consultation?
Bring a recent full blood count with a differential and all previous results you have — even from last year: the trend in your values often matters more than a single figure. If you already have a diagnosis and discharge summaries or records of previous treatment, include them too. We will tell you which results are suitable for your case when you book.
Do I need to travel to Ukraine for treatment?
Not for the consultation. Anaemia and leukaemia treatment and plasmapheresis require you to be present in person, as they involve procedures and therapy with monitoring of blood counts. How long you will need to stay becomes clear after the consultation: it depends on the diagnosis, the stage of treatment and the procedure method.
Why are there two leukaemia treatment options in the list of services?
They are two separate items, each with its own programme and price. The doctor determines which programme applies to your case based on the diagnosis and test results.
What is plasmapheresis and who is it for?
It is a blood purification procedure in which part of the plasma is separated and removed. Its length depends on the method and volume of the procedure, no anaesthesia is needed, and it is often prescribed as a course. The indications are determined by the doctor — it is not something to decide on yourself without a consultation.
